Hello, thanks for dropping by. I have had a busy week again and have not really had much time to pop in and update.
I got weighed again today and lost 2.5lbs wooo hoooo! I am very happy with this loss and it meant that I got my half a stone award. I now need to focus on the week ahead so I can have another loss next week.
We went shopping today so I bought lots of nice healthy things like a watermelon, cooked chicken, pomegranate's, figs........ I have made a very yummy chicken broth for tea tomorrow as the weather has been horrible and it is definitely not salad weather anymore!
We also have some exciting house news. Over the past couple of weeks we have be inundated with viewings and someone liked it enough to make an offer so we are officially in the early stages of moving : ) I am very very excited!!!!!!
I have very nearly finished my Elmer blanket too - all in all a very eventful week! Definitely looking forward to the next week x x x
Take care, have a good week too and I'll chat again soon : )
Ramblings about my favourite things in life;family, crochet & crafting, DIY, baking, upcycling, all things vintagey.

Quick Hello.....
Just really a quick hello. I have been very busy these last few weeks.
I took the plunge last Monday and went back to Slimming World - I have had losing weight on my to-do list for quite a while and I had started telling myself that I was too busy to start dieting and that I would re-start when we had moved house.
Well we have been "moving house" for nearly a year now and all I seem to be doing is eating rubbish and hibernating. Weigh in wasn't that bad I was not the heaviest I had ever been but I'm sure it would have been worse by Christmas.
I have been very focused this week and have been religiously making healthy meals that the whole family can enjoy, which is one of the benefits of Slimming World. We have had gammon & chips, yummy cottage pie, jacket potato, diet coke chicken, chinese chicken soup, fry up......the list goes on.
Weigh in was today! And I very happy to say I have lost 6lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nearly had a wobble though, was on the way to KFC for tea when I decided No I am not going to spoil it! and we had leftover cottage pie instead : )
Will let you know how I get on next week, we have had lots of viewings so may have some more news and will hopefully have some new things to show you too.

Weekend Lists
After my last post I have been trying to get organised so that I don't feel like I am constantly pushing 'jelly uphill' and you know what, I think it's kinda working.
I had quite a long list this weekend:-
1. Tidy the house ready for a viewing on Monday
2. Clear out the shed
3. Organise my fabric ready to make some bunting
4. Make a knitted scarecrow
5. Advertise some unwanted items on selling pages
6.Finish some WIP (work in progress)
7. Sew in the ends of the squares that I have already made for my blanket
8. Have some me/family time
It's only Saturday night and I have managed to complete all those jobs in blue - thats 6 out of 8!!!!!!
Here's one of my WIP that I have finished, I could not wait to share it with you, let me know what you think. I'll post the inside a little later : )
Here are some of the squares for my blanket - I have sewn in the ends today.
And I bought some lovely scrummy teasets from a little vintage tea-room that was closing down, so watch this space for the cake stands.

Day 31 - Multi-tasking
While I sit and write this I am trying to chat on facebook and finish another crochet square whilst thinking of what I need to do tomorrow.
That sums up life for me at the moment a constant juggling of different things, flitting between them before anything has a chance to drop!
I have so many things in my head that I want to achieve I really must start making lists and sticking to them.
So I think my new motivation for the month ahead will be to tick one thing off the list everyday and hopefully by October my head will be emptier ready for Christmas and the stress that sometimes brings.
Tomorrow I am off to Bury Market to buy some wool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait xxxxxxxxxxxx

Days 28, 29, 30 - nearly there!
I'm not exactly sure how long this motivation malarkey was meant to be, but here I am at day 30. A bit more delayed than I should be I admit but we got here nonetheless!
We went to the caravan this weekend and we actually had a lovely time, the weather was nice (for once) and we had some fun filled days!
Saturday started off quite grey but seemed to brighten up. First stop was Happy Mount Park where the kids did some "scooting". Molly adores her new pink scuttlebug and wakes up every morning wanting her "bike".
We then popped over to the ice-cream farm at Grange-over-Sands and had to sample the fantastic flavours. I think we had strawberries and cream (Molly's), Chocolate (Jake's), honeycomb (David) and coconut (mine). YUM YUM YUM - that's all I can say!
Morecambe had a seaside festival on this weekend complete with the red arrows and lifeboats so that was a must and we also managed a little detour to the car boot - where I managed to pick up some bargains.
I could not resist these, my cousin used to have them years ago - a bargain at 50p!
And this was 50p too - I have no idea what I am going to do with it but I had to have it.
How was your weekend??????????????????????????????
